KidsWish hosts specially tailored events throughout the year for our KidsWish kids and families, including KidsWish Rock the Spectrum events, held at We Rock The Spectrum in Warrawong. These small-scaled events for up to 30 children are held after school, during the school term. They offer the children we support exclusive access to this amazing indoor-sensory play gym, where the children have two hours to explore, have fun and make friends. Meanwhile, parents and carers can choose to have fun with their kids, sit back and relax or make the most of the opportunity to talk to other parents. It is also a great chance to chat to KidsWish staff about upcoming programs and events. These events have been very popular, attracting new KidsWish kids and families each month, growing our community! Multiple sessions are held each term, with dates and tickets available through the KidsWish website.
With the success of the school-term afternoon programs, KidsWish decided to grow on these and in January we kicked off special themed school holiday events held at We Rock the Spectrum. These free events catered for up to 50 children, where children were also treated to special experiences and meals. So far, families have enjoyed the Reptile Encounter by the team at Dragon Training Mobile Zoo where children were able to pat, hold or look at from a comfortable distance all the snakes, lizards, crocodiles, frogs and other reptile creatures on display. For those not keen to take on the reptile encounters, another special event took place with Fairy Fantasy Parties providing lots of fun with face painting and balloon twisting. The Easter school holidays saw some more KidsWish events at We Rock The Spectrum with Easter activities, more face painting and a scavenger hunt including prizes.
