We host our own fundraising events but also partner with other organisations that share our goal of bringing joy and opportunities to children living with disability or illness.

The Illawarra Hawks, Wollongong Roller Hawks and KidsWish are extremely excited to partner together to bring this incredible exhibition match to our community.
Come and cheer on the stars from The Hawks as they take on the very talented Roller Hawks players in an exciting game of wheelchair basketball.
This fun-filled day includes activities for all the family, and an opportunity to get up close and personal with the players!
Food and drink is available for purchase on the day, with all funds raised supporting KidsWish.

Get Ready for SHELL CON MANIA 2!
Illawarra’s ultimate pop culture celebration is back in Shellharbour with a bang! SHELL CON MANIA is an electrifying Comic-Con-style event brought to life by the region’s beloved Friendly Neighbourhood Heroes, proudly supported by Shellharbour City Council, Wave FM, Casey’s Toys and Illawarra Estate Agents.
The day will be hosted by Australian comedian, writer and television personality Adam Richard, known for his appearances on ABC’s Whovians and as a writer for Hard Quiz. Adam will be joined by cosplay veteran Queen Kryze as co-host of the Cosplay Competition.
Bringing together cosplay stars, special guests, artists, vendors, gaming, live entertainment and interactive experiences, this community celebration is packed with competitions, performances, panels, prizes and activities for all ages.
Plus, SHELL CON MANIA proudly supports KidsWish, donating a portion of every ticket!

KidsWish are proud to partner with Wollongong Wolves, Illawarra’s top football club who competes in the NSW National Premier Leagues Competition.
The very first KidsWish Charity Match kicked off in 2023 and attracted the Wolves biggest home crowd for the season.
The event coincides with one of the team’s scheduled NPL matches, typically at WIN Stadium, and is made extra special with the inclusion of a fundraising raffle, player signing opportunities and pre-game entertainment by The Disability Trust’s White Knights team and KidsWish Sports Academy participants.

KidsWish partnered with Illawarra’s Friendly Neighbourhood Spidey to host the very first Superhero Santa Snaps KidsWish fundraising event in 2024.
Spidey and his mates, including Ghost Spidey, Bumblebee, Thor, Captain America and Deadpool were at KidsWish House to join family Christmas photos. And of course Santa was there too!
With three photo packages to choose from, all proceeds went directly to KidsWish.
It’s always a day of great Superhero festive fun that we look forward to offering again 2026.

KidsWish are thrilled to partner with The Great Illawarra Walk, with all funds raised through this fantastic event supporting KidsWish!
Registrations are open and everyone is invited to take part in Illawarra’s great walk which takes you from Shellharbour to Austinmer. If the 40km route doesn’t appeal to you, this year’s event will again include the KidsWish Blue Mile so all members of the community can be involved.
The KidsWish Blue Mile is a fully-sealed 1.6km section of The Great Illawarra Walk along the Wollongong foreshore starting at Belmore Basin and finishing at Stuart Park for a free family-friendly party.

KidsWish are looking for water station sponsors to support the event. A donation of $1,000 will get your business a water station along the 40km trek where you can kit out your station with your branding, decorate, dress up and create a vibe for our walkers! Your business will receive social posts from KidsWish and The Great Illawarra Walk acknowledging your support.

The Illawarra Hotel is a fantastic supporter of KidsWish, hosting multiple events throughout the year to raise funds for KidsWish.
Their most recent event was supported by Alex Volkanovski, our local UFC World Champion, where the local community got behind the Great Volkanosvki and KidsWish to raise more than $4,000 for our charity.

The Illawarra Annual Brick Show is one of the region’s most loved family events – and a powerful fundraiser for KidsWish since it began in 2018.
Proudly presented by GongLUG (a passionate group of Wollongong-based AFOL’s (Adult Fans of LEGO® ), this incredible event brings together creativity, community and fun, all in support of children living with disability or illness.
Thanks to the generosity of the community, the Brick Show has raised over $250,000 for KidsWish – helping create joyful experiences and lasting memories for local families.
