Sports Academy

The KidsWish Sports Academy is a fun sports program teaching children the fundamental movement skills for a variety of sports including basketball, tennis, soccer, cricket, athletics and tee ball in a fun group setting. Caters to all abilities, with sports equipment and program specific wheelchairs available.

Qualifications:
Cert IV in Individual Disability Support Work. Epilepsy, medication, and behavioural issues training. Has worked as a disability support worker and facilitated programs since 2015.

What do you love about Game On?
“Game On offers children the chance to make friends along with having fun. I’ve been running these programs for a while now and just seeing these kids make lifelong friends is something so important to them.”

Young Athletes and Improving Sport for People with an Intellectual Disability coaching course – Special Olympics Australia. Has facilitated programs for people with disabilities since 2021.

What do you love about Sports Academy?
“The Sports Academy program allows kids to find what they are good at and what they love and challenges them to persist and build on their skills and knowledge. It gives participants the chance to improve their social skills, be cheeky, have fun, be competitive and learn to both win and lose. Overall, I think the Sports Academy provides participants with opportunities to live an active and enjoyable life, simply by having fun!”
