KidsWish hosts various specially tailored events throughout the year across the Illawarra. Our events provide a safe and supportive environment for children and their families to enjoy local attractions and venues, bringing joy and creating life-long memories. Our events are open to and free for children of all ages with disability or illness to attend with their families.
Our biggest and probably best event of the year, the KidsWish Christmas Party will provide children and their families an amazing day full of joy and laughter, with KidsWish on a mission to create a day that will be remembered forever and extra special for Christmas.
This year’s event will be held at Symbio Willdife Park and will welcome up to 3000 guests!

Children will love exploring the wonders of science at the Science Spectacular event at Science Space, UOW Innovation Campus.
Thursday 26 September 2024
4:00pm – 7:00pm
Come along to the iconic theatre at Illawarra Performing Arts Centre (IPAC) and enjoy a morning of the arts with Merrigong Theatre Company and members of The Strangeways Ensemble.
This free event will cater for up to 30 children aged 5-15 years old and includes theatre and drama workshops as well as a backstage tour of IPAC.
Parents/Carers must remain on site for the event.

Accessing Illawarra events will provide opportunities for children living with disability to access venues across the region, with a goal of building skills and confidence for children and families to access their community.
These free events will be supported by KidsWish staff and disability support workers and will cater up to 30 children aged 5-18 years old.
Our upcoming Accessing Illawarra event will be held at Timezone Shellharbour.
Parents/Carers must remain on site for the event.

4:00pm – 6:00pm

KidsWish are excited to offer kids the opportunity to try wheelchair basketball and wheelchair AFL at our Holiday Sports Event.
This event will be held at KidsWish House, where our friends from the Wollongong Roller Hawks and NSW Wheelchair AFL will be coming out to share their knowledge and skills in wheelchair basketball and Wheelchair AFL, with a lot of other fun activities to take place.
Children will also be treated to lunch on the day.

KidsWish and The Illawarra Hotel are thrilled to host their second silent disco at KidsWish House. This event will welcome up to 50 children where they will enjoy a safe and fun environment listening to their selection of three music stations through their personal headsets. Children will also receive dinner on the night.
