How to enter

Entrants will be required to like and leave a comment on the KidsWish or Wollongong Wolves Football Club Facebook competiiton post.

Comment will be in response to who they think will win the KidsWish Charity Match between Wollongong Wolves and Sydney Olympic on Sunday 7 July, 2024; Round 23 of the NPL.

Competition opens 4.30pm (AEST) Monday 1 July 2024.

Selection of 4 Competitors

All eligible entrants who have liked and commented on the competition post will be entered into a random generator (www.wheelofnames.com), whereby 4 names will be selected, with this process to be screen recorded.

KidsWish, The Disability Trust and Wollongong Wolves employees and family members are not eligible for selection.

These names will be selected at 5pm (AEST) on Saturday 6 July 2024 and will be notified with a reply to their winning comment.

Winners will need to confirm their participation in the sudden death penalty shoot-out competition by sending a direct message to KidsWish by 9am (AEST) Sunday 7 July, 2024.

If no response is received by 9am (AEST) Sunday 7 July, 2024 by any of the 4 selected names, a random redraw will occur to replace that individual, whom will be notified in accordance with the above-mentioned process until a response is received.

The 4 selected names will have the chance to compete in a sudden death penalty shoot-out that will take place at half time of the KidsWish Charity Match on Sunday 7 July, 2024 at WIN Stadium, Wollongong – Wollongong Wolves v Sydney Olympic, Round 23 of the NPL.

The 4 selected names will be required to check in on the day with check-in details to be communicated to selected competitors. Proof of identity will be required at check-in. No professional footballers or NPL players are eligible to compete in the sudden death penalty shoot-out.

Entry to the above-mentioned Charity Match Game will be at the cost of the competition entrants.

How to win

The 4 competitors will each take turns to take “spot kicks” towards a nominated goal against a nominated Wollongong Wolves goal keeper.

Competitors will be eliminated when a goal is not scored (i.e. ball misses the goal or is saved by the goal keeper).

If all remaining competitors do not score a goal in any given round, then those remaining competitors take another kick.

Rounds continue until only one competitor remains.

The last remaining competitor will win a Play Station 5 console.

In the event that the sudden death penalty shoot-out competition exceeds the allocated time allowed, the competition will cease and will be concluded at the next Wollongong Wolves home match at WIN Stadium on Sunday 4 August 2024. Only remaining competitors at the time when the competition ceases will compete at the subsequent match.

Announcement of winners and prize details

The winner will be announced at the conclusion of the sudden death penalty shoot-out, with the Play Station 5 console awarded there and then.
