Wolves pull up their colourful new socks for KidsWish Charity Match

The Wollongong Wolves are pulling up their socks on Sunday for this year’s second annual KidsWish Charity Match.

For the first time ever, the Wolves will be wearing special socks in different colours to their usual playing strip to support our charity.

Colourful purple and orange socks, featuring the mighty Wolves and KidsWish logos, will be worn by the players when they run out at WIN Stadium for Round 23 of the NPL when they take on Sydney Olympic.

All kids aged 16 and under will get in for free while concession tickets are $10.16 and adults $15.26.

The Wolves are proud to be partnering with KidsWish again and they are hoping to see an even bigger crowd than the bumper turn-out for last year’s inaugural event.

All funds raised will support KidsWish to deliver free programs and events for children living with disability or illness and their families.

Players from The Disability Trust’s White Knights team and participants of KidsWish Sports Academy program will feature in the pre-game entertainment.

Wolves players Lachlan Scott, Alex Masciovecchio and Darcy Madden took time out on Tuesday from their preparations for the match to launch the Charity Match at WIN Stadium with the club’s beloved mascot and KidsWish participants Malakai, Jackson, Maddy and Zac.

The specially designed socks will be available for purchase at the game.

There will also be the chance for four lucky fans to compete for the prize of a PlayStation 5 at half-time in a sudden-death penalty shoot-out against one of the Wolves’ goal-keepers.

To enter, like and comment on the penalty shoot-out social media post on the KidsWish Facebook page before 5pm on Saturday 6 July.

We thank the Community Health Group for generously donating the PlayStation 5 prize.
