KidsWish Christmas Party 2025: A Very Merry Day at Symbio Wildlife Park
What do you get when you mix Christmas cheer, wildlife adventures, music, laughter and a whole lot of magic? The 2025 KidsWish Christmas Party at Symbio Wildlife Park — and
On Friday 30 May and Friday 6 June, KidsWish dialled up the energy (and the excitement!) with unforgettable Accessing Illawarra events at Revolution Laser Arena in Spring Hill – and it was nothing short of EPIC.
More than 40 children living with disability geared up for two hours of fast-paced fun in a fully accessible, sensory-friendly laser tag experience that brought out big smiles, unstoppable laughter, and moments of pure magic.
Supported by our incredible KidsWish team and disability support workers, this exclusive event gave children aged 5 to 17 the chance to play, connect, and shine in a space thoughtfully tailored to their needs. One of our KidsWish volunteers was genuinely impressed by the effort put in:
“Revolution Laser Arena has clearly considered inclusion at every level. They were able to switch off fog machines and strobe lights to create a more sensory-friendly environment – and it made such a difference. You could see the relief on parents’ faces, and the joy in kids who felt safe enough to join in and be themselves.”
A Laser Arena That Levels the Playing Field
Revolution Laser Arena went above and beyond to create a safe, inclusive experience for all. With fully accessible entry points, wide doorways for wheelchair access, and customisable lighting, sound, and fog effects, the arena proved to be the perfect backdrop for this incredible afternoon.
To accommodate sensory needs, the team at Revolution minimised visual and audio effects – and the result was a space that felt exciting but never overwhelming. The arena ensured that every participant could explore, play, and immerse themselves in the adventure without barriers.
More Than a Game – It’s a Movement
As laser beams zigzagged through the air and kids ducked and darted between ramps, one parent shared:
“It’s not just about playing a game. It’s about our kids feeling seen, included, and celebrated. Here, they’re surrounded by others who understand them – and that changes everything.”
Another parent added:
“As a parent of a child with autism and sensory processing challenges, finding places that truly understand and accommodate their needs can feel impossible. But with KidsWish, we’ve discovered venues that get it – places where our child can join in, have fun, and just be a kid. No judgement. No pressure. Just inclusion, joy, and the chance to experience what every child should.”
Revolution has also recently launched an exciting new range of virtual reality attractions designed for different age groups. For younger players, the interactive Revolution VR experience drops kids into immersive game worlds where they can move, dodge, solve puzzles, and work together without leaving the arena. Whether blasting robots or exploring fantastical realms, the experience keeps the energy high with nonstop fun.
For older audiences, the new VR Escape Rooms offer fully immersive adventures where teams solve puzzles, explore strange worlds, and race against the clock. Powered by VR Cave—one of the world’s leading VR escape room creators—these mind-bending, high-energy rooms provide a fresh, reimagined take on the classic escape room experience.
